This post has been updated to reflect the new EB-5 Regional Porgram sunset date. The new sunset date is: September 30 2018.
Congress scrambled early friday morning (feb 10) to end one of the shortest shutdowns in modern US government history. There was no mention of any changes to the EB-5 regional center program, so for now, the Eb-5 RC program will be remain unchanged till March 23rd Sep 30 2018.
Unless of course, DHS acts on it’s “Final Action Date” notice of February 2018. The Rule titled “EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program Modernization” proposes to increase the current investment amounts of $500,000 (TEA) & $1,000,000 (Non-TEA) to $1,350,000 & $1,800,000 respectively, among other changes.
