The March 2018 USCIS Visa bulletin, published on Feb 13 2018, states that there is a high EB-5 visa demand from Vietnam. This will result in Vietnam reaching the per country quota available for FY-2018 by March itself.
Basically, due to the high number of I-526 petition filings by citizens of Vietnam till date, even if a Vietnamese person’s I-526 gets approved after march 2018, that person will have to wait till October 2018 for the new visa numbers. FY-2019 begins Oct 1 2018. That’s when already approved Vietnamese I-526 petitions will get a visa number.
