USCIS has released new data which shows that average I-526 processing times have reduced by about 5 months in 2020. The latest data released in October 2020 shows that for the period Oct 2019 to Aug 2020, adjudications have been processed in an average of 14.1 months. This is a significant reduction from the previous year, when adjudications were averaging 19.8 months.
In November 2019, USCIS increased the investment limit to $900,000 from the previous $500,000. This has resulted in a big drop in new EB-5 petitions allowing USCIS to work on existing EB-5 petitions.
Currently, Indians who have an approved I-526 are eligible to apply for the green card without any retrogression wait.
